Dalhousie Organization of Graduate Students (DOGS)

For decades The Dalhousie Association of Graduate Students (DAGS) served as an umbrella organization, representing graduate students at Dalhousie University. Acting as an advocate of graduate students at the local, provincial, and national levels.

In 2024 DAGS was denied ratification by the DSU and subsequently dissolved. Dalhousie Organization of Graduate Students (DOGS) wishes to build a platform for grad students to express their unique needs.

The DOGS Board of Directors is composed of seven Dalhousie graduate students, dedicated to supporting and the graduate student community at Dalhousie University. New Board Members are elected or appointed every winter term, and take office May 1st.

The 2025-2026 Board of Directors includes:

  • Vice-President Academic Affairs: Mengnan (Mark) Xu
  • Vice-President External Advocacy: Saurabhsingh Rajput
  • Vice-President Finance and Operations: Mehil Shah
  • Director of Engineering, Architecture, and Planning: Md Asif Hasan Anik
  • Director of Science and Computer Science: Bimpe Ayoola
  • Director of Health and Medical Sciences: Pingping Wang
