Librarians Without Borders (LWB) is an action-oriented non-profit interested in global literacy, and powered by student committees at five universities in Canada, including Dalhousie, and a volunteer Executive Team and Board of Directors.
LWB aims to promote literacy skills in under-served or under-developed communities both locally and globally. Their vision is to build sustainable libraries and support librarians worldwide. Students can get involved during orientation week, at the Associations Display on September 5, or by emailing lwb.dal@gmail.com.
LWB will hold their first meeting of the 2014-2o15 school year on Friday, September 12 at 11:30 in the Common Room, and will be looking to elect a first year co-chair and a secretary.
